Let's Get Acquainted
My journey in life has been a series of off-roading from the conventional route.
This has led me to travel to over 30 countries around the world and counting!
Still, one of my favorite things is savoring the moment when my breath is - literally -
taken away coming across something unexpected:
'rounding a corner and suddenly facing the HUGE façade of a cathedral in Germany,
watching my children break out in dance to the musician's tunes on the streets of Paris,
or watching my daughter light a candle in reverence inside the gothic Cathedral in Palma de Mallorca.
As a graduate student in the UK, I traveled often with a friend or by myself around Europe.
Now, as a mom of 2, I work in Germany and travel with my kids to learn history,
languages, and - above all - about human connection.
In recording our journey, I hope to make this a travel souvenir for my kids to remember what we learned from our explorations, in the hopes that they never tire of learning and exploring.
For our readers, I hope it serves as motivation to connect with others
who may be different in culture, but not in heart and to not hesitate to go traveling with your kids.
